I decided to do this blog post a little less 'bloggy' and a little more 'picturey.' Enjoy!
I never thought that 'Free apples-you pick' sign we saw on the side of the road would lead to this much bounty!
Apples the size of my head.
Driftwood creations. On the left, Hewey. In the middle, Doug, and on the right, Andrea the donkey! Watch out for Andrea-she'll plant a big wet kiss on you when you're not paying attention.
Lardeau Lew and his 45 bowling rules. Absolutely no eating! No drinking! No razzing! Playing around in the back room where all the machinery is? Yeah, I see no problem with that.
So there they were. Two Eisenhauer brothers. Tied, neck and neck, with twelve strikes in a row each. It was down to the line. They contemplated-what would it mean when it was all over? Do I show up my brother, for the love of the game? After all, this was BOWLING, damnit! And as night fell and the rest of the family fell asleep in the car, there they remained, staring off into the distance, trying to figure out what to do next.
Sometimes I miss Vancouver, and the fact that you can walk by the same building for ten years without really noticing it.
God, I miss sushi. And no, City of Nelson, your sushi does not compare. I'm sorry, but I draw the line at mango rolls. Also, sushi should be like $2.50 a roll. Hello, Brittania Sushi!
The serenity of Front Street in the winter. Nothing but mountains dusted with snow, hot coffees at the Bluebelle, and the soft purr of a cougar right behind you.
